Policies/Mission
Your First Visit
At the first visit to the orthodontist, diagnostic records are made to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, digital models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and digital radiographs (X-rays). This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
Consultation
After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case.
Regular Appointments
When treatment begins, your appointment to get your braces (appliances, expanders, etc.) will usually be your longest one, it usually takes approximately one hour. You'll then see us at regular intervals 6 to 10 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 15 to 20 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 6 to 8 weeks in advance.
Payment & Office Policies
Dr. Dan Stuart strives to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express payments, and debit cards. Zero-interest payment plans are available. We thoroughly explain your options, so that we can accommodate your needs.
Insurance
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.
To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
